Arena is a legendary group of gay clubs, all located within the Eixample District, in an area that has become trendy among gay crowds, suitably called Gaixample. Around 20 blocks feature everything from restaurants, clubs and stores and even a hotel oriented to a gay audience.
The Arena group has five clubs that complement each other, creating a powerforce in the Barcelona nighttime entertainment scene. Each one caters to different musical tastes and crowds. Several bars in the area like El Punto offer free passes for the Arena Clubs (after buying one drink).
Arena Sala Madre
The first one of all Arena Clubs, focuses on electronic music, house and dance. Thursdays and Sundays are famous for over the top, campy sets. Features themed parties and special shows like striptease on Mondays and the Love Party on Wednesdays.

Arena Sala Classic
Located right next to Sala Madre, Arena Classic features all type of old Spanish pop, 70’s and 80’s classics and plenty of gay icons. The motto here is: “if it’s new, here it won’t do”. Expect a mix hetero/gay crowd, lots of people and very hot temperatures!

Aire Sala Diana
Originally designed for the lesbian community, Aire Sala Diana welcomes people from all sexes and kinds. Hailed as the best lesbian club in all Barcelona, Diana features great atmosphere with the latest mainstream music combined with all time classics and latin music. Don’t miss the striptease themed “Stupenda” parties, the first saturday of every month.
