Might not be the biggest thing in town, as Sant Jordi is kind of the equivalent of St. Valentine’s day In Barcelona, however many people, local and foreign, like to celebrate this day in a special way. Gift cards, chocolates, flowers and presents are exchanged, and given that this year February 14th lands on a Friday, it’s the perfect start for a romantic weekend in Barcelona.

Strut along the Port Olimpic for a romantic walk along the shore, perfect place to enjoy the Barcelona nightlife.

On the other hand if you want to find more intimate and cozy spots, you’ll find plenty by the narrow streets of the Old Town. Located by the Gothic Quarter, restaurants Sensi, La Lluna and Il Mercante de Venezia are just the right mix of romantic settings, excellent food and great value for money.
