The Forum Beach (Banys Fòrum) is the newest addition to the Barcelona coastline.
Located inside the Barcelona Forum grounds, it's more an open swimming area than a beach, considering it has no sand at all and little vegetation in sight.
A sandless beach in Barcelona

Out of all the beaches in Barcelona is the most isolated one, and the least crowded. However, the Forum Beach is the ideal location if you're looking for a quiet spot for sea swimming and sunbathing.
The bathing area is enclosed from the open sea, and it has different swimming zones, deck chairs, water games for children, and even an area designed especially for the disabled.
Water depth is pretty shallow so it's the perfect place to practice safe swimming.

Sports at Banys Forum
The real strengths of the Forum Baths are water-related activities like water-skiing, scuba diving, kayaking, canoe excursions and catamarans, that run from May through October.
All these activities can be hired at the Parc del Fòrum Diving Center, that also offers introductory courses on diving and equipment hire.
Things to explore at the beach include an artificial island located at 60 mts (196 ft) from the shore and a visit to the Parc dels Esculls (Reef Park), a set of artificial reefs constructed in order to estimulate the development of plankton larvae and observe fish feeding in their natural environment.
